Prof. Dr. Eva Schnabl-Feichter studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria, and completed her doctoral thesis in Small Animal Surgery. She subsequently pursued an internship and an ECVS residency in small animal surgery at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany, and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS). She later completed her Habilitation in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.

After several years in clinical surgery in Germany and Austria, including positions as Head Surgeon and Deputy Head at Tierklinik Hollabrunn, she returned to the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. She has led the small animal orthopaedics team since 2013 and currently serves as Head of Small Animal Surgery as well as Deputy Head of the Clinical Department for Small Animals and Horses.

Prof. Schnabl-Feichter has been teaching ESAVS courses since 2013 and regularly lectures at international veterinary meetings and postgraduate courses, including AOVET, ESVOT, ECVS, SEVC, DVG and VÖK events. Her clinical and research interests focus particularly on small animal orthopaedics, feline orthopaedics, cruciate ligament disease, joint replacement and objective gait analysis. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is actively involved in the European veterinary surgical community as a Board Member and Executive Secretary of ESVOT and a member of the ECVS Research Committee.
