Dr. Rok Planinc graduated from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2022 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He has gained valuable clinical experience through various internships and professional positions at veterinary clinics across Slovenia, Austria, and Germany, with a particular focus on small animal surgery.
Following a rotating internship at Tierklinik St. Pölten in Austria, he completed a surgical internship and subsequently worked in the Surgical Department of the Small Animal Clinic at the University of Ljubljana. In June 2026, he began his residency in Small Animal Surgery at Fachtierärzte Althangrund in Vienna, Austria.
His professional interests include small animal soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, fracture repair, and advanced surgical techniques. He continues to develop his expertise through specialized surgical training and international veterinary conferences.
