Dr. Ruta graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary Academy of Lithuania in Kaunas in 2007. She subsequently completed a residency in small animal surgery at the same institution and went on to pursue a PhD at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, focusing on the diagnostic value of synovial fluid analysis and biomarkers in canine joint disease.
From 2014 to 2016, she worked as a Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Veterinary Academy, where she was involved in the theoretical and practical training of Lithuanian and international veterinary students and supervised students during surgical procedures and practical workshops.
She currently works as a soft tissue surgeon at DrVet Small Animal Hospital in Lithuania. Since 2019, she has also been an instructor on ESAVS Soft Tissue Surgery courses, contributing to postgraduate surgical training for veterinarians.
